SEWTU Film Fest and Habitat (Biolog) Fundraiser

SEWTU would like to invite you our 5th annual Fly Fishing Film Festival on Thursday, September 17th featuring the F3T series of high-quality professionally produced fly fishing short films from around the world. For a sample of what to expect, travel to wilderness fly fishing locations in the Yukon Territory in British Columbia for Arctic Char, Lake Trout, and Grayling. Enjoy  a jungle excursion to  South America for Pacu and other exotics. Next is Wyoming's Snake River for cutthroats. How about fly fishing for Mako shark? And, that's not all!  

 

Our popular fishing kayak Grand Door Prize is back! Every ticket holder also gets a ticket for an Old Town fishing kayak Grand Prize. We will also will have some nice consolation prizes!

 

We will also have Silent Auction and Bucket raffles with prizes ranging from fly rod and reel combos, fly fishing gear, an inflatable fly fishing kick boat, gourmet wine and bourbon packages, fly fishing art and decor, guided and mentored fly fishing trips, and much  more!

 

Funds raised form event fun night will be utilized in our continuing effort to restore and maintain trout streams and spring ponds not only in SE Wisconsin but in other state locations in Wisconsin, including the Driftless area. These funds are especially critical as our partners in the Wisconsin DNR Fisheries are experiencing drastic budget cuts in this area. Critical materials needed are biologs, materials for constructing riprap, and other material essential for stream restoration. A combination of budget cuts and declining Trout Stamp revenue has hit especially hard this year and SEWTU needs to help fill this gap in order to continue the restoration of our cold water resources.
